You may also remember Sister Regina and Mrs. Jackson, as well as Sister Mary Agnes? I think you may have been in the same grade. We had a boy named Anthony in grade 4.

(Hi Karen McKay Thanks for saving my son's life at Umhlanga Sands in the mid- '80s. He's 35 with 3 children of his own... and I have a daughter of 16. I hope you're well) I attended this school from '67- '72 and recognise most of the nuns names. Guess I was over-sensitive because I don't remember them with any fondness.

Wendy Smith nee Pearce I attended St.John's in 1959 and 1960. I was in Standard Four and Standard Five. I remember Sister Mary Faith, and Sister Rosariro and I think Sister Marcellus? My sister, Yvonne five years younger than me went there as well. I am finally going back to Kitwe at the age of 66 and would love to visit the school.

My youngest sister studied at Helen Kaunda during 1974- 1978 when Ms. Todd was the Principal. The school had many foreign teachers from across the continents. Chemistry lessons taught at the school were more memorable. Kudos to Helen Kaunda!!

I was a student here from 1963 to 1966. Loved the school, Sister Joan of Arc was my first teacher. She gave me a love of learning that has endured ever since. A great school, so pleased to see it is still going strong.

I attended this school from 1962-1966. One of my fondest memories is of Sports Day; I was not a great athlete but I was always honoured to read The Sportsman's Prayer before it began. This school was where I learned the song "Greensleeves".
